Shit It’s been a while

Well it’s been a teeny bit over a month actually since I’ve done an update to the site and if you’re a regular then you’ll see that I’ve changed it ‘again.’

Apart from hiding from record high temperatures I’ve not been doing very much, sold the ute and the TRX. The ute wasn’t being used e.g. 300klms in 18 months and I couldn’t ride the TRX coz me left knee locked up when I did so it was useless hanging on to regardless of how good it looked. I bought myself a 97 Hyundai Sonata, bloody nice car to drive – not found a replacement bike yet I’m looking for an old 2 stroke Suzuki triple e.g. GT380 or GT550 to tear down completely and restore – no rush though one’ll turn up sooner or later.

As I’ve said, I’ve changed the appearance of the site and with it came a chit loada grief i.e. missing posts and or images so I think I’ve caught up but if you come across a missing image lemme know yeh ๐Ÿ™‚

Updated TRX

Just thought I’d add a brief update of the TRX850. It’s taken me a while as the weather hasn’t been favourable but all the bits are now a block down couple more coats of clear off being finished. If the bits don’t look and feel like glass then I can get a tad anal so I ‘spose that’s another reason for the slow re-do ๐Ÿ˜›

UPDATE: 30th December 2012
Finally got it all back together again, wheels finished in Arancio and Silver,ย Stickers applied and now to give it a detail.

Made a Few Changes

As the piccies clearly show, the TRX appears somewhat different ๐Ÿ˜› It’s now painted in Laverda Arancio and the frames been done black – getting there, pity it’s too soddin hot to do much outside now – fuck I hate this place.

TRX850 – Yes I bought one

I’ve been looking for a bike for a while but nothing sorta spoke to me as it where – that is until I saw a Yamaha TRX850. Hunted around for one but they were all outta my price range until yesterday ๐Ÿ˜‰ I found a 98 model and snapped it up for $2,000 so watch this space [] for its evolution broohahaha

This is it sitting in the dealers yard.

Changes Again

Got a teeny bit bored working so I thought I’d sneek a different look in to the site, I don’t think I’ve had a blue look before so I headed that way ๐Ÿ˜‰

So apart from work, what else have I been up to? Sod all really, just mucking about with the synth’s and the like. Just waiting on 5 x 5 pin din leads to front so I can connect the Korg and DX27 through the E-MU XMidi 2×2 in to the PC, that way I can import various different bits and pieces mwoohahaha oh and connect both keyboards together as well, dunno what the hell is gunna happen when I do but we’ll see soon enough providing the postman gets his arse in to gear!!

Installed FL Studio 10 the other day, haven’t had much of play (work pfft) but as soon as I do I’ll pass on my thoughts – It’s going to have to work hard to beat Reason though as the UI is so easy on that, I’m more interested in making music not dickin’ about with clunky UI’s.

The Bonne Is Gone

Decided to sell the Bonne and with that gone I went on a bit of a spending spree for musical instruments – see the Music Stuff page for what I bought e.g. a Korg T2ex, a Yamaha DX27 amongst other things and other music based snippets like links to good companies etc.

New Toy LOL

After finally letting the XVS1100 go (what a sad day that was) I spent some time looking for something else and almost bought a 1996 Triumph Thunderbird for $4,000 – ALMOST ๐Ÿ™‚ Mark (son-in-law) pointed me at a candy apple red 1988 XLH1200 for $5,000 but he was confident that he could get it for less and he did – he paid a pittance for it you could almost say he stole it LOL well the dude at MCAS said for the $3,700 he paid for it was like stealing it hehe.

It’s got a wide glide kit with 4″ upsย that I’m pulling off and returning to stock, a fatbob tank, an S&S Shorty and was rebuilt a while back, the owner rode it till it ran out of rego then just parked it – bargain for me ๐Ÿ˜›

As you can plainly see, from foto three onwards is how it finally looks apart from the 2″ Ultima Drag Pipes ๐Ÿ˜›

Boredom again :P

ย

Maybe I’ll stop painting the bike one day NOT!!
This version is Protec baseย black under SFX Blue Pearl in Protec Top Coat Clear. Next comes the flamenco dancer on the top of the tank and the word ‘Gitana’ on the sides – I’ve just got to decide what she’ll look like, which may well take me forever :P. You can also see the 4″ forward control extensions that make the ride sooooo much more comfy.

Either way, the airbrushing will be done with my trusty Iwata HP-C Plusย with Iwata Medea Com-Art and Createx paints.

New Paint

Or part thereof ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just started respraying the bike, it’s now a deep blue metallic with the beginnings of a Gitana/Flamenco dancer on the tank, with the Cross of Asturias (Cruz de la Victoria) on the rear guard. I knew it wouldn’t take long before I decided to change the old paint job ๐Ÿ˜›

Didn’t like it – starting again 2-1-11

Just gotta add the faces and a few tiny touchups and this is done.

FIN – FINISHED – YAH-BLOODY-HOO
Part 1 FIN YIPPEE - I can finally (well tomorra) get the XVS1100 back together again!!

Surprise Surprise – well I am at least. . .

It just struck me as I sit here listening to Diva (Chilean prog/rock/folk band), that I’ve now owned the XVS1100 for 18 months, painted it four times, swapped the bars around so many times I’ve lost count, put the sissy bar on, take the sissy bar off you get the drift ๐Ÿ™‚

This is it in its current form, but thinking of NEW paint ๐Ÿ˜‰
